About Walking Photographer

"For some time now it has seemed to me that the two questions we should ask of any strong landscape are these: firstly, what do I know when I am in this place that I can know nowhere else? And then, vainly, what does this place know of me that I cannot know of myself?" - Robert MacFarlane

This blog pulls together much of what I love and believe in. My hope for anyone browsing through this website is that they will find encouragement and inspiration to engage and re-imagine the landscape around them, wherever they stand, in a creative and constructive way. About Walking Photographer aka Rich Bunce There isn't much I love more than getting outdoors with a camera (although cheesecake comes pretty close!). I want to share the joys and countless benefits of what I call Walking Photography. Walking photography, for me at least, is pretty much what it says on the tin: going for a walk and taking photos. It can be anywhere and with any kind of camera, I'm often using my camera phone on walks myself. I challenge anyone, next time they're feeling down, stressed or anxious to go out for a twenty minute walk with a camera and not feel better for it. To walk alone photo walk can be greatly beneficial, it can provide space and time to reflect, to get perspective and to create but sharing a walk with others can be just as inspiring. Some of my most precious times are spent sharing a walk with my two favourite companions: CB (Mrs Walking Photographer) and Alfie, our trusty hound. Many of our adventures together are and will continue to be recorded on this blog. My professional practice is quite eclectic. I have been a freelance artist, photographer, designer and educator for over 6 years and have been lucky enough work on a great variety of projects. My clients are as broad as the projects I work on, ranging from small business enterprises to larger corporations including M&S and Coca Cola. My work is exhibited internationally and recent accreditation's include: Sheffield Photography Open Winner 2013, Vantage Art Prize finalist 2013, Lumen Digitial Arts Prize finalist 2012 and Renaissance Photography Awards Shortlist 2012.
