Walking with friends on Ilkley moor
After seeing a request from Countryfile for suggestions on new locations, I decided to email them and suggest Rombald’s Moor. While I was looking for some photos to support my suggestion I stumbled upon some pics I’d taken while on a walk with friends visiting us from Ireland.

These were the same good friends who walked Malham Tarn with us. It was a gorgeous summers’ day and we walked from Burley in Wharfedale into Ilkley via the Apostle stones and a delicious pint (or two) in the Cow and Calf.

I’m so used to exploring the moors on my own, it was really brilliant sharing it with people who were experiencing its awesomeness for the first time!
