3D image of gardens at Project 24 Bangor
In Bangor Part One I shared the awesomeness of Bangor Beach. In this latest post I offer a glimpse into the horticultural and cultural delights that can be discovered in Bangor, County Down.

When our Bangorian (my new made-up word to describe folk who reside in Bangor!) friends took us to see Project 24 on Queen’s Parade we were not only impressed but inspired too. Project 24 is a creative space that wouldn’t look out of place in one of London’s ‘trendy’ districts. The installation of vibrant gardens and 6 shipping containers hosting 12 artist’s studios, has reinvented this part of Bangor. After an hour or so of browsing the studios and chatting to artists I had even forgotten my bitter defeat earlier on the crazy golf course!
With time against us we pressed on to the Walled Garden. This was our first visit and we had to rush a little as there wasn’t much time before it closed, in fact the warden had to kick us out (in a very polite manner) in the end. We did however return the next morning where we were able to take in the gardens in all their glory!
