Reading Time: 2 minutes

Boy cycling

This weekend was the first weekend in a long, long time when I didn’t have anything work related in the diary. So what did I do? Just take a few hundred more pictures to take up more mac book space and photo editing time that I already don’t have!

Well, I couldn’t watch the greatest spectacle to depart Yorkshire in our lifetime without a camera!

Stage One: Burley in Wharfedale (3642km to go!)

The day turned out to be a scorcher and I even caught sight of a moth sporting a yellow jersey! (Also known as a Brimstone)

Brimstone Moth Yellow

Apparently the TV coverage went to commercials as the peloton passed Burley in Wharfedale on the A65, I was actually rather pleased as it means Burley still remains Yorkshire’s best kept secret!

Keep an eye out for my next Tour de France post, Stage Two: Cote de Blubberhouses… Keep updated, follow me on Facebook or Twitter
