Common Toad floats on the surface of Ilkley Moor tarn

At this time of the year Ilkley Moor  is absolutely teeming with life. Walking it during Spring can be a giddying experience, as there are tons of natural spectacles to be observed in every direction!

This spring, after seeing Bempton Cliff’s frog spawn  feature on the BBC SpringWatch Easter Special; I decided to see if the moor’s Common Toads were starting to get active too. And sure enough they were!
